Welcome to Pivot K9 Academy!
Thank you for choosing us for your dog training and boarding needs. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for using our services. By using our services, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our services.

1. Definitions

“Company” or “We” refers to Pivot K9 Academy.
“Client” or “You” refers to the individual or entity using our services.
“Dog” or “Pet” refers to the dog(s) under the care of the client and placed in the Company’s care for training or boarding.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete all registrations and agreements.

3. Service Offerings

Dog Training: Includes obedience training, behavior modification, puppy training, and specialized programs.
Dog Boarding: Includes overnight stays and daycare, providing feeding, exercise, and care.

4. Health and Safety Requirements

All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, and bordetella (kennel cough).
 - Proof of vaccinations must be submitted prior to boarding or training services.
 - The company reserves the right to refuse service to any dog showing signs of illness,  aggression, or if we believe the dog is unfit for the service.

5. Client Responsibilities

Behavior Disclosure: You must disclose any behavioral issues, such as aggression, anxiety, or other known behaviors, prior to the service.

Emergency Contact: You must provide an emergency contact who can be reached during the duration of your dog's stay.

Food and Medication: You are responsible for providing food and any required medications, along with clear instructions.
  
6. Training Programs

Training Duration and Results: While we strive to offer effective training, results may vary depending on the dog’s temperament, consistency, and participation from the owner. No specific result or time frame is guaranteed.


Owner Participation: For long-term results, your involvement in the training process is essential. We recommend follow-up training and consistency at home.

7. Fees and Payment

Payment Terms: Full payment is required prior to or on the first day of service. $50 non-refundable deposit is required prior to service start along with signed service agreement. If training and or package is canceled after initial training class, you are not elidable for refund of any type. We accept ShopPay, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Debit, Credit, Meta Pay, Amazon Pay, Venmo. 

Deposits: A deposit may be required for boarding or training services, and this deposit is non-refundable.
  - Cancellations and Refunds:
  - For boarding cancellations, notice must be given at least 48 hours before the scheduled start. Cancellations made within this period may result in a partial or full charge.
  - For training cancellations, 48 hours notice.
  
8. Pickup and Drop-Off

Late Pickup Fee: Dogs picked up after the agreed time may incur an additional fee.

Abandoned Dogs: If your dog is not picked up within [Insert time frame] after the agreed end date, we reserve the right to consider the dog abandoned and may contact local authorities or rehome the dog.

9. Liability
- The company takes great care to ensure your dog’s safety and well-being, but accidents or unforeseen events may occur.
- The company is not responsible for any injury, illness, loss, or death of your pet during training or boarding, unless it results from gross negligence on our part.
- You agree to indemnify and hold the company harmless for any claims or damages resulting from your dog's actions, behavior, or illness during training or boarding.

10. Emergency Care
- In the event of a medical emergency, we will make every effort to contact you or your emergency contact. If immediate action is required, we will take your dog to the nearest veterinarian.
- You are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred during an emergency.

11. Photo and Video Release
By using our services, you agree to allow us to take photos or videos of your dog during their stay or training. These may be used for promotional purposes on our website or social media, unless you provide written notice stating otherwise.

12. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services at our discretion if we believe your dog poses a risk to the safety of other dogs, staff, or itself, or if the client fails to adhere to these terms.

13. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of [Your State/Province]. Any disputes arising from these terms or services shall be resolved through mediation or small claims court in USA, Maryland, VA.

14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website, and it is your responsibility to review them prior to your dog’s stay or training.
